Bracken and Brynn's 3rd Birthday!

The twins had a great birthday. They both got bikes and some other toys that they love. Its hard having twins.....its hard trying to make them feel special and loved. Everything comes int 2's. I think the hardest part is not ever having a break as a parent. One is always crying....and it doesn't matter what I do. I really hope these two can grow up to love and appreciate each other. They are so special and came into my life at the exact right time....I will forever be grateful to my Heavenly Father for knowing that I needed my two babies and that they are certainly a challenge but twice a blessing.
Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Bracken loved riding the saddle but Brynn needed her brother to help her! It's a love and hate relationship!

We went to Monkey Island for the Birthday. I would like to say we had a great time but to be honest....Three year old twins are hard to handle during a birthday party. A little crazy!

We always get donuts for Breakfast on everyone's Birthday. I think this is Brynn's favorite thing to do! We love Lehi Bakery!

We had to wake up Bracken....Brynn couldn't wait to start her birthday!

Girls Camp 2011!

We had a great time at girls camp this year. I went on the 4th year hike with my girls. We sure had a fun time hiking in the snow up, eating in the rain, and of course singing our songs and playing games around the camp fire. I always hate the thought of going to camp but once I am there I just love the girls and the other leaders. I feel very lucky to have such a fun calling.

Swimming Fun!

We sure love swimming in Emery County! Notice....No Brynn....she is always on the side sun tanning!

Grandma Joy

Here are some things that I found in the basement while I was cleaning it out. The wreath is a very special thing to me. My mom and I made this wreath for my Grandma Petersons Funeral. My grandma Peterson died right after my mom was finishing up her radiation from the Breast Cancer. She lived with me for about 6 weeks. I remember making this wreath is my kitchen at my old house. We put things around the wreath that symbolize by grandma. We were joking that everything we put on it was just like my mom. For example they both life to sew, cook, had a farm, and loved books....just to name a few. When my great grandma died I remember my mom was so sad. She loved her so much and was learned all the motherhood stuff from her since her own mom died at such a young age. I even remember that my mom was mad that she wasn't asked to speak at the funeral....she felt she should have since they were so alike and had such a special relationship. Just a memory. Anyways...so when my mom died I found the wreath in the basement and displayed it at her funeral. It's weird to think that I had such a great memory making this with my mom just to then display it at her funeral. Sad! I sure miss her and all her many talents. The second was a picture of an award she won at a convention. I found alot of awards throughout the basement. She was amazing!

Forth of July!!!

Fourth of July was a great holiday! We spent the night at Uncle Gary's house. As always we had great food! The best part of our holiday was watching Brynn with the fireworks. At night since about the middle of June she just sits on our deck and watches any fireworks the she can find in the sky. This girl is a wild one so she thinks fireworks are the best thing invented. Oh Brynn....

The Queen has Won!

In February the Bishop asked me to make our ward float for the Lehi parade. In Lehi it's a big deal to make the ward float and win. The pressure was on. Last year I helped on the committee and I didn't win. Let's just say...I like to win. So of course I said yes to the calling, (because you are suppose to always say yes to callings even if your husband says no!) and the planning started. I spent months planning and preparing and made over 3000 hand made pom poms. Cuz Lehi judges like pom poms. Let me tell ya that these are soooo time consuming and not fun. I never want to see a pom pom again. My friend Ryan made the truck and Jessie made over 32 costumes and others help with all the extras. We were judged on Friday day for the look and friday night for how we put on the production. On friday night at 10:30 the bishop arrived and let me know that I won SWEEPSTAKES. I won out of 41 floats. BIG DEAL IN LEHI! On saturday morning we had to be first in line to show the big parade our winning float. I couldn't resist the excitement. I grabbed a crown off of a beauty queens head and put it on. It felt just like old times. Just teasing. It was a lot of work but soooo worth the trophy! And Yes.....I would do it again!!!

Summer School!

Jaylynn's first day of summer school! The library has free literacy classes for kids. So I thought it would be a good idea to keep up Jay's skills. She has done a fantastic job with her reading skills. She is sooo smart! Love her!

Summer Fun!

The kids love playing in the water! Well......not Brynn! I sure love them!

Happy Father's Day!

We had a great father's day with my Dad. Ben was spoiled with great new shoes for work and play. Also with a special wallet full of his favorite things. (Gift cards and also one really special card!If you know what I mean!)I sure love Ben and appreciate all that he does for me and my family....especially my dad. I love that Ben loves my dad and that they are best friends. It makes my life soooo easy! I just love my dad. It's been hard to let him go and have him get married. I've been taking care of him for the last 5 years.....I don't know what I will do with out him. I love the men in my life. Happy Father's Day!

,

Happy 35th Bday!

Yes...Yes....Jared is 35! I had a surprise party for him at the Castle Dale Pool. Note to self...never throw Jared a surprise party. He was soooo worried that we weren't going to do anything for him. Ben had to take care of him before the party...and Jared put his arm around Ben and said.."Ben does anyone know its my bday. Where are my presents?" In the end...the party was fantastic!

It's Official!!

So my dad asked Natalie to marry him. A little crazy...but I am so happy for the both of them. So since they are moving into my dad's house until they figure out what there plans are for a new house....I get to clean out his house! Which means the dresses and the crowns and my room has to be cleaned out!So sad! The kids had a fun time with trying on my past!
